Privacy Policy

Ticketro is an online ticketing marketplace that connects event-goers with event organizers. For purchases made through Ticketro we act as the data controller for your account and payment records, and as a data processor on behalf of the organizer for attendee data they request (for example a guest list or entry requirements).

• Account data: full name, email address, phone number, date of birth and Instagram handle provided at sign-up, plus your language preference.
• Booking data: events booked, ticket types, quantities, promo codes, booking reference, invoice number and the answers to any organizer-required booking questions.
• Payment data: payment status, amount, currency and a gateway transaction reference. Card numbers are entered directly with our licensed payment partners (e.g. Paymob, Fawaterak) and never touch Ticketro servers.
• Entry data: the time and checkpoint at which a ticket QR code is scanned.
• Technical data: IP address (hashed for rate limiting), device and browser type, and pages visited on ticketro.org.

• To create and secure your account and deliver your tickets and QR codes.
• To process payments, refunds and tax invoices.
• To verify identity and age at the door when an event has an age or ID requirement.
• To send booking confirmations, event reminders and important service notices.
• To send marketing about events you may like — only where you have opted in.
• To prevent fraud, ticket duplication, abuse and re-entry violations.
• To comply with tax, accounting and legal obligations.

When you buy a ticket we share your name, the ticket details and the booking-question answers with the event organizer so they can run the event. Organizers are contractually bound to use that data only for the event you booked.

We also share the minimum data required with payment gateways, email/SMS delivery providers and cloud infrastructure providers, each acting under a data-processing agreement.

We never sell your personal data.

Sensitive fields such as dates of birth and national ID numbers are stored encrypted. All traffic is served over TLS, access to customer data is role-based and every staff action is recorded in an append-only audit log. Ticket QR codes rotate every 30 seconds to prevent screenshots being reused.

Account data is kept while your account is active. Booking, payment and invoice records are kept for the period required by Egyptian tax and commercial law (currently five years). Marketing preferences are deleted as soon as you withdraw consent.

You can access, correct or export your data from My account at any time, withdraw marketing consent, or request deletion of your account. Deletion requests are honoured within 30 days except for records we must legally retain, which are anonymised. Email privacy@ticketro.org for any request.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent and can be disabled in your browser at any time.

We will notify you by email or an in-app notice before any material change takes effect. Continued use of Ticketro after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
